How to Prepare Wooden Artist Panel

Preparing wood for painting is a bit more involved than one might think. It requires sealing the wood before priming it. This step is probably the most important part of the process, and I cannot stress it enough!

In this tutorial I use GAC 100, however, Gloss Glaing medium works just as well (actually better than, depending on who you talk to). 

Materials:

Wooden artist panel

GAC 100 or Gloss Glazing medium

Gesso

Wood Putty or molding paste

Sand paper (p240)
